Fun Fact Friday: Layering Lippman Yellow Brick Road Jelly Polish

Have you bought a jelly polish, but realized you are not into jellies. Ugh. No despair you can use your jelly over a white polish, or a polish of a similar base color to the jelly, to make it an opaque creamy color. When I used one coat of Lippmann Yellow Brick road over a white polish the color was a creamy pastel yellow like that of Sinful Colors Unicorn I covered earlier this week.  When I used two coats over a white polish the color was a more vivid true yellow cream, closer to how the color appears in the bottle. So don’t toss those jellies, layer them. That way, whether you enjoy your jelly polish or not, you can switch it up and get a variety of shades with a single jelly polish.

Born this Way Yellow Appreciation Week

Three coats
Two coats
One coat

In celebration of the release of Lady Gaga's Born This Way CD release, this blog is being born today. One message always loud and clear in Lady Gaga's music, is to basically go for it and believe in yourself. I will be bringing things I think are fun an inspired and share with all of you things I hope are helpful and enjoyable.

It's yellow week. The first yellow polish I will be reviewing is Deborah Lippman's Yellow Brick Road. This polish is a buttery mid-tone yellow. The application on the polish was smooth an even. I did discover that i am not into jelly polishes, though, unfortunate.
